Fatigue test: Fatigue life design can be seen from the failure type and cause analysis of the bellows compensator, the plane stability, circumferential stability and corrosion resistance of the bellows are all related to its displacement amount, namely the fatigue life. Too low fatigue life will lead to bellows stability and corrosion resistance to decline. According to the test and use experience, the bellows fatigue life used for heating works shall not be less than 1,000 times.

The bellows cannot be load-bearing and shall be lifted separately; except for the bellows deformation method, it shall not allow welding slag to splash on the bellows surface and suffer other mechanical damage; all moving elements of the bellows shall not be stuck by external components or restrict the normal operation of the active parts.

Most failures of the bellows are caused by external environmental corrosion, thus considering the structural design of the Pipe Compensator.
