Pulsation damper, pulsation damper is a pressure vessel used to eliminate liquid pressure pulsation or flow pulsation in pipeline, which can stabilize fluid pressure and flow, eliminate pipeline vibration, protect downstream instruments and equipment, increase pump volume efficiency and other functions.

Principle of equipment: There are two main principles of pulsation damper:
1. Airbag type: use the contraction and expansion of inert compressed gas in the airbag to absorb the pressure or flow pulsation of the liquid.
This kind of pulsation damper is suitable for pulsation frequency less than 7Hz applications, because if the frequency is too high, the diaphragm or the air bag has no time to respond, the effect of eliminating pulsation;
2. No moving parts type: solid medium directly intercepts fluid to buffer pressure pulsation or flow pulsation. This type of Stainless Steel Pulse Damper is suitable for high frequency pulsation applications.

Equipment classification: according to the buffer medium classification is divided into compressed inert gas buffer type and no moving parts type, wherein the compressed inert gas buffer type is divided into diaphragm type and balloon type, and no moving parts type is divided into metal structure type and ceramic structure type; According to the material classification: divided into EPDM rubber, buena rubber, fluorine rubber, ptfe, metal, ceramic and other internal material types; According to the interface type: divided into single hole and double hole; According to the liquid flow form: divided into straight-through and non-straight-through;

Equipment use: eliminate pipeline vibration; Reduce pressure pulsation; Reduce flow fluctuation; Protect downstream instruments and equipment; Installed in the front end of the pump, increase the volume efficiency of the pump, improve the output power.
Selection principle: to select suitable pulsation damper, the pulsation elimination rate index should be determined according to the actual situation and process requirements, and then quantitative selection should be carried out according to the technical index.
Accurate selection of PVDF Pulse Damper should be determined based on comprehensive calculation and analysis of flow rate, pressure, pump type, pump speed, pump cylinder number, pump phase difference (multi-stage pump), pulsation elimination rate, application purpose, pipeline fluid composition, pipeline fluid density, pipeline fluid viscosity, pipeline fluid temperature and other parameters.

Through the above parameters, the key need to calculate the fluid pulse quantity (i.e. the liquid volume transported by one pulse) and pulsation frequency. Combined with the pulsation elimination rate index, the type and volume of pulsation damper needed can be preliminarily calculated. For example, if the residual pulsation is required to be controlled within 10%, the pulse quantity is 1 liter/time, and the pulsation frequency is 2 times/second, the PVC Pulse Damper can be diaphragm type or balloon type, and the volume is at least 10 liters.

Removal rate of equipment: according to different practical applications of customers, the maximum pulsation elimination rate can be more than 99.9%, that is, the residual pulsation is controlled within 0.1%. For example, residual pressure pulsation is recommended to be controlled within 3% for eliminating pipeline vibration; To ensure the accuracy of vortex flowmeter, it is recommended that the residual flow pulsation be controlled within 0.75%. Application limit: Pulsation damper is a kind of pressure vessel. Due to the limitation of material, manufacturing technology and practical application, pulsation damper generally has a pressure of about 500 kg/cm2 (or higher in special applications) and can withstand temperature of about hundreds of degrees Celsius.
