Reverse osmosis equipment is a kind of membrane water treatment equipment. Brief introduction of reverse osmosis technology is a kind of equipment widely used in the preparation of pure water and high purity water. In the membrane equipment, the reverse osmosis membrane can remove the ion level impurities, so that the effluent reaches the standard of pure water and high purity water. The pore size of reverse osmosis membrane is very small (only about 10a), so it can effectively remove dissolved salts, colloids, microorganisms and organic matters in water (the removal rate is as high as 97-98%). The system has the advantages of good water quality, low energy consumption, no pollution, simple process and simple operation.

 

 

 

1Principle of reverse osmosis

 

 

 

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a concept corresponding to osmosis, that is, a higher pressure than natural osmotic pressure is added to one side of the concentrated solution to make the solvent (water) in the concentrated solution press into the dilute solution on the other side of the semi permeable membrane. This process is contrary to the normal infiltration process in nature. Therefore, it can intercept the impurities in water on one side of the membrane and let the water go to the other side of the membrane, thus producing pure water and high purity water.

 

 

 

There are two key points in the production of pure water in reverse osmosis facilities. One is a selective membrane, which we call semi permeable membrane, and the other is a certain pressure. In short, there are many pores on the reverse osmosis semi permeable membrane. The size of these pores is equivalent to the size of water molecules. Because bacteria, viruses, most organic pollutants and hydrated ions are much larger than water molecules, they can not be separated from the water phase through the reverse osmosis semi permeable membrane.

 

 

 

2Application range of reverse osmosis membrane

As a kind of membrane filtration method, reverse osmosis is generally used in all industries that need to prepare pure water and high-purity water, mainly including:

 

 

 

Preparation of pure water and ultrapure water in electronics, medicine, food and other industries;

 

 

 

Purification and preparation of water for textile and chemical industry;

 

 

 

Purification and preparation of water for food and beverage and wine making process;

Pre desalting treatment of high pressure boiler make-up water in power plant and other enterprises;
